domestic sonic interface
domestic sonic interface is a performative sound installation in which the floor becomes a sonic interface. Contact microphones capture the vibrations generated by footsteps and gestures, transmitting them to a modular synthesizer where they are transformed in real time. Walking, running, pausing or sliding across the surface continuously reshapes the sound environment.
Conceived as a nomadic and evolving work, the installation is designed to be continuously adapted to each site it inhabits. Every space introduces new acoustic qualities, materials and interactions, making each iteration distinct. Rather than producing a fixed composition, the system creates the conditions for sound to emerge collectively through the relationships between bodies, architecture and movement. The installation is never complete. It is transformed by every participant, every place and every encounter. The artist builds the framework, while the composition is continuously rewritten by those who inhabit it.
